Introducing The Sims FreePlay!!!

Been playing this game for a while now. Though this is an introductory post for Sims FreePlay, the game has been around for a long time now (not sure when it started though :P).

Let's begin with the "new game" screen. For starters, this game requires an internet connection for you to play. As of course, if you got no data, you can just start a new game or if you're already an old player of this game and got a saved game (obviously), you can just download your saved data to your device. In case you're wondering or not aware of it, you can play the same "town" on various devices. Your game data can be uploaded to "The Cloud" through your Facebook account and/or Game Center (for Apple users).

Just like any other Sims gameplay, you will manage a "town" consisting of different "sims" for you to handle.

First off, you're going to create your very own First Sim. The features that you can customize are the name, gender, skin tone, hair, face, clothes, and shoes.

As of course, you will also be given a full control for camera angles and magnification.

Just like any other Sims, you'll be tasked to take care of your sims. Beginning from upper left, here are your sims needs: food, toilet, sleep, cleanliness, social, and entertainment.

If you're too lazy to satisfy each and everyone of them, just feel free to use a "cupcake" to fill them all up. Though of course it's not free. You'll need 5 LP (lifestyle points) for each cupcake consumption. Lifestyle Points is the "premium" currency being used in the game.

Since I already mentioned the LP, the following are all the currencies being used in the game:

・Simoleons (green) - this is the default currency being used in all The Sims series, including this version. It can be earned by doing quests, getting a job, going to school, having pets, joining competitions, and purchasing some from the EA Store (of course, using real money). Since it is the primary currency of the game, majority of the items to satisfy your Sim's needs and managing your town are being paid using Simoleons. In short, your town will die (not really) if you don't have enough Simoleons at hand.

・Lifestyle Points / LP (orange) - just like what I told you earlier, this is the premium currency being used in Sims FreePlay (not sure if it is also being used on other versions though). These can be earned primarily by doing quests and being bought through the EA Store but likewise it can also be earned by joining competitions and having your pets finding you some. Since this is just a premium currency, you can live off without much thought of having enough LPs. Though yes, some of the "better" items can only be bought through LP, it can also help you hasten your town's development. Well, unlike the computer version of The Sims series where you can control the game's time speed, in FreePlay, all actions are using the actual time in real life. Thus, if it says, 1 hour to finish, it's really 1 hour in real life. Many are quite frustrated for this, so yeah, you can use LPs to instantaneously finish off everything.

・Social Points / SP (purple) - this is another premium currency being used in the game. The same with LP, you can live off without having much of any SP at all. The only use of this currency if purchasing some of the items being used in the game. You can only gather SP by doing quests in a neighbor's town and buying some from the EA Store. Yes. You'll need to connect your Facebook account for this, else, you won't have any neighbors at all (except for the default "Another Sim Town", which won't give you the needed items to finish many of the neighbor's town quests.

For you to visit a neighbor's town, just go to the Party Boat (it's in the town screen) and connect your Facebook account. From there, you know what to do. :)

I already mentioned earlier about some "quests" to finish, right? Well, unlike the computer version of the game where you'll need "expansion packs" to widen your gaming experience, in FreePlay, you'll need to accomplish the quests for you to access them, like weddings, having a baby, growing teenagers, etc. Simply put, these are just "tasks" that you need to do. But be sure to finish them on time so that you can gain access to bonus items for your Sims to enjoy. :)

And for you to manage all your Sims, you can monitor and select them through the SimTracker.

And of course, the enjoyment of designing your very own dream home for each of your Sims are at your disposal. :)

Well, that's pretty much it. I'll see what I can do in updating posts regarding Sims FreePlay. So yeah. No promises. ( ̄▽ ̄)
